For a new installation of a probe with retractable housing a SOCLEMA technician can assist the technical staff involved with these products in describing all the steps of the installation until to put the installation under pressure.

SOCLEMA can come on customer request to retract the housing/probe assembly under pressure for example when a cleaning of the pipe with a pig is scheduled.The SOCLEMA technician works by himself with all the tools necessary to do the job.

This option is to be sure of a well done assembly and a perfect seal.
The assembly of the probe base-plate and the flange is realized with a Loctite® 577 thread sealant ( or other upon request ) . The assembly stays 24H for drying except if the seal is realized with PTFE tape thread sealant.The assembly base-plate/flange is tested with a hydraulic test with water.The pressure test is 1.5 times the design pressure or 1.5 times the maximum service pressure ( or upon customer request )After waiting 10 minutes without leak we consider that the seal is OK.

SOCLEMA do a retrofit of the probe with a complete disassembly to diagnose the pieces needed to be replaced.The probe is cleaning and reassembly following the manufacturer specification.This benefit is upon customer request or with a special maintenance agreement including a scheduled period for the retrofit.
